Bec’s origin story
My story as a creator begins in childhood. I was a story-lover, who found pure joy when categorising my books into multiple lists and writing letters to my family, friends and imaginary fairies.
Upon deep reflection, it seems my career has been heavily influenced by by the experience of growing up alongside the internet. Learning to build websites on Dreamweaver, and staying up all night coding falling hearts onto my MySpace profile was my coming of age.
That experience set me up for a life-long interest in what technology can create. As did an epic business teacher and entrepreneurial parents.
My first corporate gig was having real conversations with customers online as an empathetic Community Manager, then as a Content Strategist.
I also got up before dawn to pen a blog in the early years, creating 100’s of vegetarian recipes to be photographed, designed and published on my food publication which I adored wholeheartedly.
My next career challenge was designing product experiences for sustainable, purpose-led finance and trusted brands where I lead a Content Design team, experimented using UX Design research methodologies and managed large scale digital teams focused on delivering impactful customer experiences.
Nowadays I spend my time as a Product Manager in tech, creating digital strategies and leading teams to build digital products that solve customer problems. Oh, and building thoughtful Squarespace websites, too.
No matter which origin story I mulled over to pen for this page, one thing shone clear:
I’ve been telling stories, creating digital experiences, and communicating for as long as I can remember.

A web touch-up can take anywhere from 12 - 16 days, and a full fresh new site can take 4-8 weeks, depending on feedback and if the brand style is defined. -
